Thank You Cards

A few months ago I got the idea (from pinterest, of coarse) to have a maternity pic holding a chalkboard sign reading "Thank You" for our thank you cards. So we did that and I created these puppies at www.shutterfly.com.

I ordered a 140 of these babies and they are almost gone already!!!! I take this as a blessing. We are so blessed to have so many individuals in our lives that thought of us and our baby girl.

I am posting them here because we have had so many people comment about them and want to see them. We are almost out of them and gifts from our dear friends continue to flow in. I do not plan to reorder after they are gone (we will use back up notes at that point). So  I thought I would post them so everyone could see. Also to once again say thanks to everyone who has thought of us. We are blessed beyond measure!!!! Thanks to our dear friends and family!!!!!!!!

Showered with Love and Gifts

We have been blessed to have had four wonderful baby showers (only two of which I remembered to bring my camera for) We are so thankful for the friends and family who love us enough to help us give our sweet baby the best start possible!!!

Shower number one was thrown by my coworkers and friends. They decided to keep it light and fun for the men who were invited ;). So we ate at Fugi's with our friends and coworkers and were showered with gifts there. We had a blast and Justin was extremely grateful he did not have to attend a stuffy old baby shower :). As you might have guessed this is one of the showers I left my camera at home for :(. It was before this shower I decided to make all the hostess gifts. I wanted them to have a more personal touch. For this shower I made the initial door wreaths I posted about here.....

Our Second shower was thrown by our besties. I have known these girls since high school and I am blessed to have them in my life!!!!

Left to Right: Kelli, Krystal, Me, LaRae and Ollie. (Note Allison got gone before we snapped a pic and Elena couldn't make it but they deserve a mention all the same)

We had help from two sweet little girls

Doesn't Justin look thrilled...lol

We played a game where everyone decorated onesies...so fun!!!

Thanks to pintrest these are the hostess gifts I made for those lovely ladies!!! Canvas + Material + Paint + a wooden letter

Thanks Again Ladies for all your hard work!!!

Our third shower was thrown by my aunt, me sister and a family friend. (Of coarse this was the second shower I forgot to take me camera too). It took place at cheaha state park group lodge on a dreary day so we were thankful for everyone who attended!!! We received a lot of great things and it was good to catch up with some old friends!!!

Our fourth and final shower was the big one!!! It was thrown at our church by a group of wonderful ladies whom I am very thankful for!!

All the sweet hostesses responsible for the great shower
They did a great job with the decorations...

We got lots of great and needed stuff!!!

We got to hang out with friends and family...

I made chalkboards for the hostess gifts. I took old cabinet doors taped off the edges, painted the inside with chalk board paint and added a burlap bow!!! I thought they turned out pretty good.

All wrapped up...

This one I kept for myself!!! :)

Well I have bored you enough....

6 Weeks and Counting....

Y'all I completely forgot to post after my 32 week appointment. So I will try to summarize it a bit before I get to the 34 week update....

At our 32 week appointment we got our final sonogram.....ah bitter sweet. I cannot believe that was the last time I'll ever get to see our sweet baby's face on that screen. On the flip side of that coin, I can't believe the next time we see her it will be as she makes her entrance into our lives!!!! Yay!

Any how they told us Madilyn weighed in at 3lbs 10ozs at the time (slightly below average for 32 weeks). Our doctor estimated her to weigh between 7 and 7.5lbs when she makes her big debut (assuming she comes right on time).

The sonogram tech brought our attention to "all that hair" she has. So I guess there could be a little something to the old wives tale. You know the one about if you have heartburn your baby will have hair. I expect her to have hair as long as cousin it considering even the air I breath gives me heartburn ;). Also the sonogram tech says to us when we walk in the door "Oh, let me just tell you....since your 4d sonogram I haven't seen another baby as beautiful as yours." Now I am fully aware she probably says this to everyone but I choose to pretend my baby is the most beautiful baby that ever blessed that doctor's office with her presents :)

On to the 34 week update....

Baby girl is estimated to weigh about 4 3/4lbs, about the weight of an average sized cantaloupe

How Far Along: 34 weeks
Weight Gain: 32lbs. looks like I am going to bypass my second goal of 35 pounds. Oh well lots of my beautiful, cute and fit friends gained 40 pounds ;)
Maternity Clothes: Yes
Stretch Marks: Not yet but I am still lathering up with Mother's Friend and coco butter.
Morning Sickness: It seems to have passed although there have been a few mornings when I have felt the need to gag again.
Sleep: Pretty good. 4:30 is about the time my pee break hits and my 4 pillows are still my snuggle buddies at night.
Baby Movement: Yes. She is now getting big enough that I feel her in my ribs at the same time I feel her on my bladder. I guess that is what happens when you have a shorter torso.
Food Cravings: Nothing comes to mind at the moment.
What I Miss: Cuddling with my hubby. As I was laying in the bed the other day I remembered back to when I could fall asleep in his arms. I can't exactly do that with 3 pillows under my head and one under my feet. So we just fall asleep holding hands instead.
Looking forward To:Baby Showers, getting organized, purchasing the last minute necessities and seeing our sweet baby's face!!!!
Milestones: Her fat layers — which will help regulate her body temperature once she's born — are filling her out, making her rounder. Her skin is also smoother than ever. Her central nervous system is maturing and her lungs are continuing to mature as well. Also babies born between 34 and 37 weeks who have no other health problems generally do fine.

Last weekend we had some maternity pics made, If I ever get in the mood to watch the slow upload of blogger I will post a few for ya!!

Until Next Time....
