Correction

In my last post I stated that Officer Sollohub pasted away yesterday. That 's what was originally reported however he was kept on life support until they could harvest his organs. He did not actually pass until today. Please pray for his family and the Anniston Police Department.

Thank you!!!!!!

Thank an officer today. Police officers put their lives on the line daily to protect us and our families. As many of you may know there has been a shooting in Anniston today. Officer Justin Sollohub of the Anniston Police Department was shot today after a routine traffic stop (the link doesn't say but he passed away this afternoon).

My dad is also an officer for the Anniston Police Department. So the second I heard my heart fell to my stomach, I felt anxious and fearful. Thoughts like "what if it had been my daddy" ran through my head. I feel so extremely bad for this Officer's family. He gave his life protecting his community from a criminal.

I know we gripe when we get speeding tickets and etc but in remembrance of officer Sollohub lets thank an Officer today!!! Let them know we appreciate them!!!

Thank you Daddy for your Service!!!! I love you and I am glad you are safe!!!!!

Onward to Tennessee....

After almost 5 weeks of waiting this week our ceilings were finally ready......too bad they were sent to Tennessee!!! You heard right...Tennessee. This was the last straw for one Justin Bishop. We trucked down to the Cypress Log Home Supply in Heflin. They keep tongue and groove ceilings in stock. They are just cypress instead of pine (cypress = more $) but ya got to do what ya got to do.

Any way here are some pics......

Notice the beam in the middle.....it came out of the old house

Ceiling Trouble

As many of you may or may not know Justin and I are putting tongue and groove wood ceilings throughout our entire house. They will look kind of like this.......

Pictures borrowed from Randall Upchurch from Sonup Reality if anyone wants to buy the house pictured

However they ARE NOT HERE!!!! I am getting soooo frustrated. We ordered them a whopping four and a half weeks ago. We were told they would be here in 3 weeks tops. Justin is going to tell the guy he has until the end of business day tomorrow to have them in our yard or we are going somewhere else.  I mean really??? What is the deal here?

Ahh the wonders of house construction. It will be over soon.....right?????

Sleepless Night, Shock and Painted Walls

Our contractor informed us early in the week that our walls HAD to be primed by Monday of next week. I have been planning to be the painter in this project for months. Justin on the other hand had other plans. He has little no confidence in my painting abilities. So as I picked out paint colors he schemed to hire a painter. I finally gave in and I am glad I did.

The guy he hired uses the paint and primer in one and he was due to show up bright and early this morning. So as you might have guessed, I didn't sleep a wink last night. Every terrible, awful, baby poo color in the book kept appearing in my dreams.

Finally morning came and so did the painter. I rushed to the house to check out the colors. I LOVE the green we picked for the kitchen. However I shocked when I saw the master bath. I was so not prepared for that. It was supposed to be on the gold side of khaki but it went way to far to the gold side (it may of jumped into it). I have already discussed with the painter about covering it but the more it dries the better it gets. So we will see.

One more thing

I realize that I for got to mention one other thing that has been done this week.....

Our electrical box got wired....... Justin wanted me to point out just how neat it is. He ventures to say nobody else's looks this good (unless he wired it of course)......

Nope, no ego there :)

What Ya Think?

Okay my columns finally came in the other day. We ordered them online without ever seeing them so as you would guess, I have been super nervous about them. Today our contractor put one up to see how they would work. What do ya think???

I think it looks great from the road. However this bothers me.......

See how it hangs over slightly? Everyone tells me that is how it is supposed to look. I am not sure but they are ours now so I choose to move on to other things. Like picking paint colors. I don't know why but the thought of this gives me nightmares. I want warm cozy colors but then again I don't want to regret it So maybe shades of khaki is the safe choice.....ugg I need an interior designer, anyone know one who will work for free????

Beach Trip

Justin and I made an unexpected trip to the Beach about a month ago now. Well I guess you can still call it a beach trip if it was only two full days. Some of our besties......................
Bethany and Gunny
and there sweet 2.5 year old red headed little girl...........
Abigale Grace (Abi)

had rented a beach house with their family. After the family went home they called us to come a join them for a few days. (they felt sorry for us.....all of that work and no play biz) We decided to go for a few reasons......
1) We love these people ;)
2) It was most likely the only shot at a vacation we will have this summer
3) last but not least..............We're not CRAZY...hec yeah PCB here we come!!!

We arrived in the wee hours of the night on Wednesday. Thursday we lounged around on the beach soaking up some rays.......
She didn't get too many rays, shes under an umbrella
And Justin entertained Abi Abi entertained Justin.......

Thursday night we ate at the Shrimp boat.....

Happy Family

Wouldn't we look GREAT with a kid?????

I just love this kid...too bad her Mom won't let me keep her

Gunny played with the camera a while......

Notice the arrow I so graciously inserted here. You can't see it so well but they were trying to get a picture of this women's chest shirt. It had a whole right in the middle of cleavage town. I think Abi knew what they were up too. Notice how she is beating Justin.....you go Abi!!

After dinner we went for some go cart riding......

Just for you Beth...
(I was the photographer, no rides for me). Then they went to ride the boats......

I say "they" because I was wise to Bethany's attempts to get me in there. She talked Justin into it and then she SOAKED him. I thought this was hilarious, he hates to be wet...lol
Look how wet they got
Friday Abi insisted on going to Pear Park. She wanted to ride......

the bungee jump thing ( I have no idea its real name so we'll just go with it). Justin also wanted to go because he was in search of the ever so illusive "Costa Del Mar sun visor". He finally found one. He also found......

a new hairdo. I just love it....ha!!

Before making a trip to Pineapple Willy's we all had a little photo shoot.......

Note.....I am going to post this next picture because I like the theory, you know, a picture of us walking away. However I am not exactly happy about the hugeness of my rear end......

the camera adds 10 pounds, right? Right?????
